Masseria Salamina is the
name the farmstead was given in 1600, when Giuseppe SALAMINA
decided to extend a pre-existing building and plant olive trees
, which are now 400 years old, over a 200 hectare surface. The
masseria was fortified because, at the time, the inhabitants
of the area had to protect themselves from the Moors. During
the following centuries, the large structure was restored in
order to answer the farming needs of the time, without however
changes being wrought to its appearance. |

The farmstead has 7 suites,
located in the north-west wing of the building, and 8 apartments
in the south-east wing, all with private bathroom, air conditioning
and heating. Six of them feature a single room and bathroom
on the ground floor, while the double bedroom is located in
the sleeping loft below the high barrel vault. There are 8 two-room
apartments, with kitchenette, a large bathroom with a small
bath tub, private outdoor space and air conditioning.
At breakfast, home-made biscuits, doughnuts and jams are served.
With fine weather, breakfast and dinner are served in the courtyard
in an atmosphere of charm and tranquillity.

ancient flavours and the relaxing tranquillity of the countryside.
This service, available at dinner, is also provided subject

to order a specific menu on the occasion of organised lunches
and small receptions.
