The small restaurant of
Masseria Spetterrata, located within its ancient walls, is also
open to the public, and offers traditional and creative cuisine,
Mediterranean style, mostly based on ingredients such as vegetables,
oil, and herbs organically grown in the farm. Naturally, dishes
include traditional specialities, from home-made pasta (orecchiette,
cavatelli with chick peas and mussels, laganari, and tagliatelle
made of chestnut flour) to lemon-scented lamb, almond cake and
walnut bread. |

There are four apartments
with separate entrance, of different sizes (from 40 square metres
to 100 square metres, with a 50 square metre terrace and a view
of the sea), equipped with heating, and so cool in the summer
as not to require air conditioning, in Arte Povera style, fully
furnished dining room with kitchenette, TV, private bath, open
all year round. The apartments can accommodate from two to eight
persons, depending on unit type. |

Equidistant from Bari, Lecce
and Taranto (50 Km approximately), from the masseria guests
may easily visit famous places such as: Ostuni (the White City),
the Salento peninsula, the Trulli of Alberobello, the Caves
of Castellana, etc.
A few kilometres from the masseria there lies the beautiful
Adriatic coast, with sandy and rocky beaches. Here are to be
found equipped and public or solitary beaches. Nearby there
are the famous Torre Canne Baths, the Archaeological Museum
of Egnathia, the San Domenico Golf Course for golfing holiday in Apulia, windsurfing school,
riding grounds, and the Fasano Safari Park.
Mediterranean cuisine courses are available, and guests may
tour the area by bicycle or jog.

The farm, which has been
resorting to organic farming techniques for over a decade, and
is a member of the AIAB (the Italian Organic Farming Association),
sells its excellent Protected Denomination of Origin extra-virgin
olive oil, Collina di Brindisi; in addition, other products
such as different types of Rosolios (lemon, cherry, mint, quince,
walnut, etc
), as well as home made tarallucci, preserves,
tomatoes preserved in oil, crushed olives, etc.. are on sale.
